Nowadays, due to the fast-paced lifestyle of people in the cities, many young children are growing up without even experiencing what it feels to be connected with nature. Though many parents want to go to national parks and take a vacation but the other problem is coming up with the budget. Cabins nowadays will cost you hundreds of dollars for a week stay or even more depending on the amenities provided. This is why most parents would just cancel and give the kids a PSP or other gizmos to redirect their attention. Do we have to sacrifice the experience just because of financial constrains? Well, I got a solution to that.

Nowadays, due to the increasing prices of cabins in camping parks many have come up with another alternative. Camping. Camping is the answer to this problem. Why spend hundreds of dollars on a cabin you can`t even own, whereas you can buy a tent for just a fraction of the cost, and the best thing, you own the tent? Now you can go tenting anytime you want without ever paying again. Camping can be really fun, especially if you are with your whole family and just take a break from all the paper works, the responsibility and the rush of the city life. Camping can also be a great time to enhance the bond between you and your children and letting them feel that you care that much for them that you would take them to special trip to experience the wilderness.

For those who are more explorative and would want to maximize the wilderness, I suggest that you rent a recreational vehicle (RV) and go on caravanning. Unlike camping, caravanning allows you to move from one area of the national park to another without worrying too much about wild animal attacks since at night when you are most vulnerable; you will be sleeping sound inside your recreational vehicle. Well, you might think that using an RV would cost a lot. It is true an RV would cost you not just hundreds but thousands of dollars to buy one. I am not telling you to buy one though. Why buy when you can rent? Nowadays, with the increasing numbers of families that want to enjoy the wilderness, there are also a lot of vehicular services that offer recreational vehicles as part of their services. Having an RV during a trip would be a wonderful experience considering that you are inside a solid and well structured "house on wheels" that protects you from any unwanted wild animal attacks, and at the same time you can explore the wild in it.

Experiences that you and your family could have in a trip to the wild will really leave a lesson within you and your children`s hearts. Experiencing nature first-hand is so much better than just letting your children experience nature from cable or tiVo. If money is the barrier to such experience then I urge you try camping via tenting or caravanning. You and your family can still enjoy as many connections with the nature without spending that much.

Dave has been writing for some time now. You can find one of his latest websites about a 6 person tent which has also got some information on a 8 person tent.
